Physical TUFH 2023 participants are in for a wonderful afternoon on Wednesday 25 October 2023.
The organizers will take the attendees out to the community to visit an educational and a cultural activity!

The mobile medical clinic is a field clinic, furnished and equipped with large medical devices. It offers services to elderly people and disabled people, and those who face difficulty in moving. It moves among the houses of the elderly people in different areas of Emirate of Sharjah. The mobile clinic treats the simple cases and move the difficult cases to the hospitals for treatment. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme council, Ruler of Sharjah, President of Sharjah University, has inaugurated the mobile medical clinic at Sharjah University on 26th April 2017.The health clinic counsels people on their health issues, and raises awareness through health education order to limit the health problems to which people may be exposed, allowing them to enjoy a healthier life. The Unit was developed by Sharjah University, in agreement with the Department of Social Services, to work with institutional steps that would contribute to achieving social and health development in the communities of the Emirate of Sharjah. Mobile dental clinic aims to provide oral care services to those who have difficulty accessing conventional dental clinics. Our mission is to improve oral health and quality of life of the elderly and those most in need, in urban and rural areas of Sharjah, by bringing mobile dental care to them. As a full dental facility, with three fully equipped dental units, digital X-ray facility and wheel chair carrier lift, the Mobile Dental Clinic- University of Sharjah was in operation since beginning of the current academic year 2016-17, ensuring ongoing care to the community of Emirate of Sharjah. Mobile Dental Clinic (MDC) clinical operation meets the stringent Infection Prevention and Control standards and undergoes regular maintenance to ensure patient safety. Through the platform of Mobile Dental Clinic, we initiated a robust community outreach program, offering free preventive and restorative care that addresses the needs of the community. Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled in Sharjah, which was established in 1987, is the first club for the disabled in the United Arab Emirates concerned with the affairs of people with disabilities (cultural, social, rehabilitation and sports). The club began as an advocacy committee for people with disabilities in Sharjah, founded by the disabled themselves, where they formed a gathering in the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in 1983 AD by organizing the first marathon, after which the city would host the headquarters of the committee and began its work and activities from within it with the beginning of 1986 AD in a good gesture of happiness Sheikha Jamila bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. The honor of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect him and the advocate for the disabled, was the inauguration of His Highness the club in 1999 AD, and it was called Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled. Middle East, and in 2009 the new branch of the girls' branch was opened.

Medical Imaging/Radiology Courses are offered at the Sharjah Surgical Institute and they offer state-of-the-art imaging technology with qualified and experienced faculty. It is well equipped to cater to a variety of health care professionals' radiological needs and provides vital support of almost all of the clinical specialties. The organization and management of the Medical Imaging courses promote quality of patient care. Clinical direction is provided by the course moderators who are all physicians and members of the University /hospital medical staff. The faculty, technicians and support staff work closely together to make sure that high quality courses are provided to all candidates with sensitivity and professionalism. All courses are offered during business days and/or weekends. The Institute is also an American Heart Association accredited center that conducts basic and advanced training courses in Emergency Medicine including resuscitation, trauma, disaster management as well as forensics (Crime Scene investigation) and medical education training courses. In this home, there is a lot of love and a feeling of gratitude for this group of society, which gave a lot to its homeland, and therefore its role came to receive attention and care, which dates back to its establishment in 1986. Maryam Al Qatari, Director of the Sharjah Old People Home, narrates the developments that the home has witnessed in terms of services and decisions since its establishment, pointing out that introducing joy, joy and pleasure is one of the most important things that the home cares about, as they are an integral part of society, followed by the provision of high quality health medical services with Providing medical devices and equipment efficiently. Al Qatari added, and social, psychological, legal, health and recreational services were provided to the affiliate inside the house, and the house was keen to integrate its members into society through daily internal and external visits. Covering an area of 6500 m²; it consists of two floors embracing 21 aquariums and filled with 1.8 million liters of water. Sharjah Aquarium holds a turtle rehabilitation program, where the husbandry team collects and receives sick/injured sea turtles before releasing them back into the sea - their natural habitat - , after being rehabilitated. The biggest EHS tertiary hospital, It was established in 1976 and has 24 specialties & sub-specialties in clinical services for outpatients, inpatients, accident and emergency, intensive care, cardiac catheterization laboratory, dialysis and day care surgery for the population in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates. AQH has a 417-bed capacity with occupancy rate of 95% and 20% of Inpatient beds is allocated to Critical Care Medicine. The hospital has obtaining international accreditations. AQH achieved JCI accreditation in December 2018 and re-accredited in January 2022. AQH honored three (3) CCPC accreditations in AMI (Acute Myocardial Infarction), Heart Block (Advanced AV Block) and Bariatric Surgery Management as Centre(s) of Excellence in September 2020.

Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) is a local non-profit organization founded in 1979 as a branch of the Arab Family Organization in the Gulf region, aiming to advance the Arab family and develop the social services it needs. SCHS was authorized under decree number 6/1981 issued by the Government of Sharjah on March 11th, 1981. On October 10, 1995, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, issued a decree under edict number 4/1995, declaring SCHS as an independent organization in the Emirate of Sharjah aiming at serving people with disabilities in the UAE.
Success for SCHS aims at changing our society's attitude towards persons with disabilities and affecting government policies in disability related issues.
