The
3rd International Conference on Arabs’ and Muslims’ History of
Sciences (ICHS17)
Dec. 5-7, 2017
University

Sharjah,

There is no doubt that Arabic and Islamic scientific and cultural heritage
played an integral role in the current scientific and technological advances
the world is witnessing now. Through out
its history, Arabic and Islamic scholars have proven themselves as unique model
to be followed in various scientific fields including medical, social and
humanitarian fields.
Over many decades the Arab and Muslim nation has led the world in
scientific and engineering scholar and discovery, during which elite scholars were
attracted to take part, participate and contribute to the advancements of
knowledge in all walks of life.
One of the significant outcomes of what was described as a scientific
revolution, is the huge collection of documents, manuscripts and treasures of
archives, which is being utilized by many scholars as well as amateurs around the
world as references to refer to learn about early scientific discoveries and
much more.
Building on the huge success of the 1st and 2nd
International Conferences on Arabs’ and Muslims’ History of Sciences, which
were held in 2008 and 2014 at the University of Sharjah under the patronage of
His Highness, Shaykh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohamed Alqassmi Member of the Supreme
Council of the United Arab Emirates Ruler of Sharjah President of the
University of Sharjah, the Sharjah International Foundation for Arabs’ and
Muslims’ History of Sciences was formed as an outcome of the two conferences.
The primary mission of the foundation is to preserve, publish, and
promote early and recent scientific advances and discoveries of scholars in the
Arab and Muslim world. To fulfill this mission, the Foundation is organizing
the
3rd International Conference on Arabs’ and Muslims’ History of
Sciences (ICHS17) on December 5-7, 2017 at the University of Sharjah, UAE.
