Call for Papers

The  First Sharjah International Conference on Islamic Finance: Innovative Instruments, Issues of Implementation and Future Challenges.
 
The Sharjah Islamic Center for Studies and Research in Islamic Finance at the University of Sharjah invites papers for its first international conference on Islamic Finance: Innovative Instruments, Issues of Implementation and Future Challenges during the period 5-6 November,2014, at the University of Sharjah Campus.The conference invites all professionals and academics in the field of “Islamic Economics, Finance and Law” as well as the leaders of Islamic and conventional banks and Islamic financial markets at the local, regional and international levels. Also, Faculty members of three relevant colleges of Business Administration, Sharia and Law are invited to present their research papers at the Conference.
 
Authors are invited to submit abstract(s) of no more than 300 words via e-mail to: sicsrif@sharjah.ac.ae by June 15, 2014. The full papers should be submitted via email to: sicsrif@sharjah.ac.ae  by September 15, 2014. The submission should include each author's name, institutional affiliation, complete mailing address and e-mail address as well as the track name relating to the paper subject. See the conference Tracks here. Email your article as a Microsoft Word document. Submissions will be acknowledged within 48 hours. Extended abstracts will be subjected to formal double blind peer review. Authors will be notified about the outcome of the review process (acceptance, rejection and/or suggested adjustments) within three weeks. To be eligible to publish your extended abstract in the conference proceedings, at least one of the authors has to register for the conference.
