Who Are the Eco Reps?
The Eco Reps are a dedicated team of student volunteers at the University of Sharjah who are passionate about promoting environmental awareness and action across campus. From residence halls to dining areas, they lead by example—encouraging sustainable living, organizing impactful activities, and sparking eco-conscious conversations among their peers.
Whether it's hosting a workshop on water conservation or maintaining sustainability noticeboards in student housing, Eco Reps are the green heartbeat of campus life.

What We Do
Our mission is simple: educate, engage, and empower.
Eco Reps work closely with students, faculty, and university leadership to bring sustainability to every corner of student life.
Here’s how they make a difference:

• Lead sustainability workshops and mini-lectures
• Keep residence halls informed with bulletin boards and eco tips
• Advocate for sustainable habits in dining halls
• Create awareness through student-led campaigns and initiatives
• Collaborate across departments to implement green ideas

Roles, Benefits & How to Join

Your Role as an Eco Rep
As an Eco Rep, you’ll be an ambassador of sustainability, helping the university move toward a more environmentally responsible future. You’ll:

1. Deliver short lectures or workshops on sustainability topics

2. Attend official Representatives Meetings to plan and collaborate

3. Maintain records of events and activities

4. Coordinate with Program Leaders for logistics and support

Ready to Apply?
Here’s how it works:

• Each department should nominate 2 students
• Short interviews will be held by the program leaders
  
• Weekly workshops will be scheduled and organized by the leadership team. Presentations will be provided, and halls will be booked for you.
