Dear students,
Welcome to the Language Institute (LI) at the University of Sharjah, a hub of language education that fosters creativity, promotes innovation, and brings excitement to language learning. It is my pleasure to introduce you to our diverse range of programs offered within our five centers: the English Language Center (ELC), the Center for Teaching Arabic to Non-native Speakers, the Foreign Language Center, the Translation Center and the Writing Center. Our centers offer services to the University of Sharjah students, staff, and to the local and regional communities.
It is the University's core values that are at the heart of the LI. As director, my role is to help fulfill the University's vision, ensuring our faculty embrace innovation and a commitment to the highest learning standards. It is also to help guide our students, further ensuring they get the most from their education.
At the LI, our focus is on a student-centered approach to learning. Our various programs emphasize individualized learning, and our faculty are dedicated to providing an exceptional academic and personal development experience, raising student language proficiency and academic performance with both professionalism and dedication.
In addition to our centers, the Language Institute fosters a vibrant community. We regularly organize events and workshops to provide opportunities for students and faculty to contribute to their academic and professional growth. These initiatives enrich the learning experience and promote a deeper understanding of the ways we can work and grow together.
