Sharjah Institute for Heritage and University of Sharjah Discuss Enhancing Scientific and Heritage Cooperation
The Sharjah Institute for Heritage and the University of Sharjah discussed ways to enhance joint academic and scientific cooperation.
This took place during a meeting at the Institute’s headquarters, which brought together His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, Chairman of the Institute, with a delegation from the university.
The delegation included Professor Dr. Jairo Alfonso, Dean of the College of Communication; Professor Dr. Mesut Idriz, Director of the Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Science among Arabs and Muslims; and Dr. Saleh Al-Luhaibi, Vice Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, in the presence of several department directors and officials from the Institute.
Dr. Al-Musallam emphasized the importance of scientific partnerships in developing heritage work and enhancing its research and cultural presence.
He noted the Institute's openness to cooperating with local and international academic institutions in ways that contribute to exchanging expertise and enriching knowledge. The meeting addressed future areas of cooperation through the (UNESCO Chair in Diplomacy and Scientific Heritage), which included: Research grants Academic programs Virtual and augmented reality projects Scientific publishing Joint supervision of doctoral theses
