Overview:
This intensive course covers the core laparoscopic surgery skills and knowledge essential for every surgery discipline. You will use a range of hight quality of laparoscopic equipment, working with specifically designed bench top models, as well as learning a Varity of knotting and suturing techniques.
Aim of this program:
Course will provide theoretical updates in the most recent development in laparoscopy and extensive experimental session (Hands-on session) using animal organs and live animals for each surgical procedure step by step. Some of the topics are following:
- Set up a stock, correctly connecting a light source and gaining a good quality image.
- Identify means of access and outline patient positioning.
- Discuss and anticipate a range of complications and how to deal with them
- Perform key laparoscopic surgery procedures.
- Discuss the use of laparoscopy in diagnosis.
- Evaluate the use of various energy sources.
- Demonstrate wide- ranging of knowledge in laparoscopic surgery and operatives' procedures including appendicectomy, cholecystectomy and ventral hernia repair.
