ALERT -OB Training (Advanced Life-saving Emergency Response Training in Obstetrics)
Background and Rationale:
Obstetric emergencies remain a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Timely recognition, effective decision-making, and coordinated multidisciplinary interventions are essential to ensure optimal outcomes. Nurses and midwives are often the first responders in obstetric emergencies and play a pivotal role in early detection, stabilization, and escalation of care.
This training program is designed to strengthen clinical competence, confidence, and teamwork skills among nurses and midwives through evidence-based knowledge, hands-on skills training, and simulation-based learning aligned with international maternal safety standards.
