University of Sharjah Concludes Innovation and Institutional Development Training Course in Partnership with Ajman’s Economic Development Department

The University of Sharjah has concluded a training program held in collaboration with Ajman’s Department of Economic Development. The two-day course, titled Incremental and Radical Innovations and Government Accelerators, was attended by 26 employees from the department who completed ten hours of intensive training.

Organized by the University’s Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, the course formed part of an ongoing partnership between the two institutions aimed at advancing professional skills and leadership capacity within the public sector. It also marks one of six training courses, totaling 70 hours, being jointly delivered by the two partners. These six targeted programs are designed for heads of department and second-tier leaders, enabling them to enhance their managerial and supervisory capacities while supporting Ajman Government’s broader vision centered on innovation, sustainability, and improved institutional quality of life.

The training package covers topics such as proactive leadership, strategic foresight and creativity, artificial intelligence and global competitiveness, financial management fundamentals for executives, and strategies for promoting organizational happiness and wellbeing. Through these initiatives, the program seeks to equip future-ready leaders who can drive strategic development, contribute to decision-making, and implement best management practices.

The latest session placed special emphasis on optimizing resource utilization, strategic planning, and aligning individual performance with government strategies, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
