University of Sharjah Hosts Annual Alumni Forum for Computing and Informatics, Engineering, and Sciences Graduates

The Alumni Association at the University of Sharjah, in collaboration with the Colleges of Computing and Informatics, Engineering, and Sciences, convened its annual alumni forum with robust participation from graduates, faculty, and students. The event opened with addresses from the college deans: Professor Nawar Thabet of the College of Sciences, Professor Abbes Amira of the College of Computing and Informatics, and Professor Abdul Wahab bin Mohammed of the College of Engineering. The deans praised UoS alumni for their contributions to society and confirmed the University’s commitment to maintaining strong ties with its alumni as valued partners in the institution’s ongoing journey of achievement and excellence across academic, research, and practical domains.

Dr. Amal Al Ali, Director of the Alumni Association Office, welcomed attendees and highlighted the forum’s importance in strengthening connections between alumni and their alma mater while fostering a vibrant professional network to support their development, employment opportunities, and research collaboration.

The forum also featured speeches from several faculty and alumni who reflected on the milestones of their colleges, expressing pride in the local, regional, and international successes achieved by UoS graduates. Additionally, the event included the announcement of newly formed alumni councils for the participating colleges, enhancing alumni engagement in advancing academic programs and professional initiatives.

During the event, a dynamic networking session brought together new and old graduates, complemented by a career fair attended by numerous national and regional organizations aiming to provide professional and training opportunities to UoS alumni.

The forum concluded with various activities and competitions that celebrated the spirit of pride and belonging to the University of Sharjah, reaffirming the ongoing fruitful collaboration between alumni and their colleges in supporting innovation and scientific advancement across diverse technological, scientific, and engineering fields.
