University of Sharjah Partners with Peru's Elite Lima University

The University of Sharjah (UoS) has inked a landmark memorandum of understanding with one of Peru's leading institutions, the University of Lima, forging deeper ties in academic and research collaboration. The signing ceremony was held at the UoS main campus where H.E. Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah singed on behalf of his university, while Dr. Norka Patricia Stewart Alvarado de Kutliar represented her university.

Prof. Agamy welcomed the distinguished Peruvian delegation, hailing the partnership as a significant agreement between two world-class institutions. "This memorandum embodies our commitment to bridging knowledge across continents," he said. "It opens doors for expertise exchange and joint research, promising tangible benefits for students, faculty, and both academic communities."

The agreement spans faculty and researcher exchanges, student mobility for undergraduates and graduates, and co-supervision of master's and doctoral candidates. It promises collaborative research projects, dual-degree programs, e-learning innovations, curriculum development, and specialized consultancy. Joint workshops, international conferences, and data sharing for strategic benchmarking feature prominently, with special focus on media and institutional communication.

Representatives of the University of Sharjah included Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies; Acting Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Nouar Tabet; Dean of the College of Communication, Prof. Jairo Alfonso Lugo-Ocando; Dean of the College of Business Administration, Prof. Ilhan Ozturk; and Director of International Relations, Prof. Abdelaziz Soufyane. The University of Lima’s delegation comprised Prof. Pedro Luis Gradoux, Director of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Diego Norenia Chavez, Coordinator of the Ph.D. in Business Administration program.
