University of Sharjah Organizes Introductory Workshop on the Institutional Excellence Award
As part of its continuous efforts to achieve excellence and leadership in all fields, the University of Sharjah (UoS) organized an introductory workshop on the Institutional Excellence Award, "Tamayoz," aimed at providing an overview of the award in its first edition, its significance to the University, and the application and participation processes.
The workshop was attended by His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, along with the Vice Chancellors, College Deans, and Directors of Research Institutes and Centers. The UoS Chancellor emphasized the importance of this workshop in introducing the "Tamayoz" Award to senior management and administrative staff. This award was previously announced by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah. It will be held at the level of the entities headed by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed, highlighting the efforts of internal institutions, fostering a competitive environment between government and private entities, and enhancing institutional efficiency and performance.
The workshop was presented by Ms. Mona Al Ghawi, General Coordinator of the Award and Director of the Strategy and Institutional Development Department at the Sharjah Media Council. During the presentation, she provided an overview of the award, including its vision, mission, and strategic objectives. She also discussed the award categories, particularly the primary institutional award, "Best Entity in Governance Systems Application." Additionally, she highlighted the secondary institutional awards, including: "Best Entity in Customer Satisfaction," "Best Entity in Financial Oversight," and "Best Distinguished Practices."
