University of Sharjah Hosts the Pharmacy Automation and Digital Health Seminar
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Sharjah (UoS), in collaboration with Gulf Drug LLC and Emirates Clinical Pharmacy Society (ECPS), hosted the Pharmacy Automation and Digital Health seminar, in the presence of Professor Mohammed El-Gamal Acting Dean of the College of Pharmacy. With the participation of a distinguished group of experts and specialists from the healthcare sector, the seminar brought together leaders of pharmaceutical departments, hospital pharmacy directors, and academic faculty specialized in pharmacy to discuss the latest developments in pharmacy and healthcare automation, digital transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
The seminar program included a series of specialized scientific lectures alongside interactive panel discussions aimed at bridging the gap between academic education and practical application within healthcare systems. This was achieved by providing a platform that brought together healthcare leaders, students, and professionals to exchange expertise, share best practices, and highlight successful experiences in this rapidly evolving field.
The seminar focused on strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and the healthcare sector, and on inspiring the next generation of healthcare providers in the field of pharmacy, thereby contributing to the development of national competencies and supporting innovation in the healthcare sector. In addition, the event featured the presentation of student's scientific posters showcasing innovative research and initiatives in digital pharmacy and healthcare service automation, reflecting the University of Sharjah’s leading role in supporting scientific research and sustainable professional development.
