The University of Sharjah (UoS) celebrated the United Arab Emirates’ Flag Day on Tuesday, November 3, in a ceremony marked by national pride and a strong sense of belonging. The event reaffirmed the values of loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership, while underscoring the unity, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence that distinguish Emirati society.

The flag-raising ceremony took place at 11 a.m. in the outdoor plaza in front of the University’s main building. It was held under patronage and in the presence of H.E. Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, and was attended by the University’s vice chancellors, college deans, and directors of centers, departments, and institutes. Faculty members, administrative staff, and students also participated.

As the flag of the United Arab Emirates was raised, the ceremony reflected a deep pride in national identity and a collective commitment to the banner of the union. The flag stands as a symbol of the country’s unity and developmental journey, as well as its enduring values of tolerance, coexistence, and peace.

The event also included the distribution of flags and national sashes to attendees. The gesture embodied the spirit of community participation and strengthened feelings of pride and belonging across the university family.
