Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Presides over the Graduation of 664 UoS Female Undergraduates

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah attended the graduation ceremony for female bachelor’s students from the fall 2025 cohort on Sunday at University City Hall. The celebrations honored 664 graduates from across the University’s colleges and were held over two ceremonies.

The first ceremony celebrated 335 graduates from the colleges of Business Administration, Engineering, Computing and Informatics, and Sciences. The second ceremony honored 329 graduates from the colleges of Communication, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Public Policy, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Fine Arts and Design, and Law.

Both ceremonies opened with the UAE national anthem, followed by recitations from the Holy Quran. H.E. Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, then delivered the keynote address, expressing his deep gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his patronage and presence. He congratulated the graduates on their achievement and extended appreciation to their parents and families for their unwavering support throughout their academic journey.

Prof. Agamy emphasized the University’s commitment to knowledge as a mission rather than a structure, describing the University of Sharjah as a place where learning is inseparable from values and where research is directed toward solving real-world challenges. He noted that students are regarded as active partners in shaping the future, not merely recipients of education. Addressing the graduates directly, he then highlighted the University’s strong academic standing and global reputation, pointing to its achievements in international rankings and research output. He added that the University of Sharjah has moved beyond the boundaries of a traditional academic institution to become a regional hub for knowledge creation and technological innovation. He concluded by urging the graduates to believe in the transformative role of educated women as leaders, innovators, and problem solvers, particularly in scientific and technological fields.

Graduate Hind Muslim Al Marzouqi, from the College of Computing and Informatics, spoke on behalf of her fellow-graduates, thanking H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his leadership and continued support of the University’s academic mission. She expressed gratitude to the university administration, and faculty, and to the graduates’ families whose dedication and encouragement paved the way for their success. She reaffirmed the graduates’ commitment to representing their faith, country, leaders, and university with integrity, ethics, and pride.

Another graduate, Reem Salah Al Hashemi from the College of Law, also addressed the audience, reflecting on the university experience as a space that fostered confidence, self-discovery, and critical thinking. She described the years spent at the University of Sharjah as formative, offering opportunities that strengthened voices, sharpened awareness, and clarified aspirations. She concluded by congratulating her fellow graduates and thanking their families and professors for their constant support.

The ceremony concluded with H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi personally awarding degrees to the graduates from all bachelor’s programs offered by the 15 UoS colleges. He congratulated them on their accomplishment and wished them continued success as they embark on their professional and personal journeys.
