Partnerships for the Future: University of Sharjah and Zayed Education Foundation Sign MoU

The University of Sharjah has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Zayed Education Foundation, joining a landmark gathering of institutional partners at the foundation’s “Partnerships for the Future” forum, held at Zayed National Museum. The event brought together senior officials, university representatives, and partner institutions to announce a series of new agreements in support of the foundation’s programs. The University of Sharjah was among 12 universities to sign agreements with the foundation, creating a framework for collaboration across scholarships, leadership development, and research.

The forum highlighted the Zayed Education Foundation’s strategic mission: to identify and nurture emerging talent, support ambitious ideas and initiatives, and build partnerships that connect institutions and areas of expertise thereby opening broader horizons for future leaders to contribute to national and regional priorities and address pressing global challenges.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by H.E. Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah. It provides for cooperation with the foundation in implementing scholarship and leadership development programs, including Ruwwad Zayed, the foundation’s flagship initiative, which combines full funding for master’s degrees at UAE universities with a comprehensive leadership development program and tailored support for high-potential Emirati and Arab students residing in the UAE.

The agreement also creates expanded opportunities for students, researchers, and participants in the foundation’s programs to connect, exchange knowledge and expertise, and draw on the diverse academic capabilities of the University of Sharjah. This includes identifying shared research priorities and developing collaborative projects that bring together knowledge and expertise from across institutions and academic disciplines.
