University of Sharjah Expands Its Global Reach with Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Partnership
The University of Sharjah has strengthened its international academic and professional ties by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA Institute), a move aimed at advancing national talent in finance and investment while aligning financial education more closely with the demands of the labor market.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Salah Taher Al Haj, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs at the University of Sharjah, and Mr. Paul Moody, the CFA Institute’s global chief executive. Together, they outlined a shared vision focused on raising standards in financial education and equipping students with skills that translate directly into professional readiness.
Under the memorandum, the two institutions will collaborate on specialized awareness sessions for students in the College of Business Administration and offer a range of internationally recognized professional certificates in areas such as investment, private markets, and data science. Students will also be invited to take part in professional events designed to strengthen their understanding of the industry and improve their transition into the workplace.
The partnership further includes providing expert feedback on the University’s finance curricula to ensure alignment with global professional standards and best practices. Both sides also committed to supporting joint initiatives and activities of mutual interest, reinforcing the role of collaboration in building a more dynamic and globally connected financial education ecosystem.
