Characteristics and prevalence of facial pain in patients with jaw diseases according to the diagnostic criteria for temporomandibular joint disorders

As for my master’s thesis, it deals with patients suffering from temporomandibular joint diseases (the jaw that moves while speaking or eating), which is one of the most common diseases in our society, but unfortunately many patients are not aware of the existence of a specialized doctor to treat these conditions, and thus they consume a lot of money, time and effort between different specialties, and few of them reach the doctor of oral and jaw surgery.

This research showed the prevalence of this disease and the prevalence of other types of pain that usually accompany temporomandibular joint disorders. It also showed the results of different treatments for different stages of temporomandibular joint disorders.

With the completion of this research, the real beginning was to reach a radical solution to treat these disorders, and this is what I will work hard on during my doctorate career.
