The Finance and Economics Department offers a Bachelor of Science in Finance with two tracks, namely, in Business Finance and in Islamic Finance. Students in the Finance and Economics Department can also have two minors either in Finance or Economics.
The mission of the department of Finance and Economics is to create and sustain an environment where responsive business scholars educate responsible learners to advance their personal and professional aspirations in the field of Finance and Economics. The department concentrates more on providing students with a broad and deep knowledge of the latest developments in business finance, Islamic banking and Economics. Our graduates enjoy a diverse menu of career choices, and they will be prepared very well for those careers upon graduation.
Finance and Economics Department strives to hire and retain faculty with high calibre in teaching and research and our programs are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The Dept. of Finance and Economics is proud to launch the Stock Market for training in 2012 which is connected live with Dubai Financial Market and Abu Dhabi Securities Market.
The Finance major prepares students for pursuing graduate studies in finance. Graduates of the Finance program will be academically equipped to successfully complete the prestigious professional certification programs such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified in Financial Management (CFM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
