Professor Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, opened the 5th Forensic Evidence Exhibition, organized by the Scientific Society in the College of Law in the Library foyer on the women’s campus.
In attendance at the opening ceremony were Prof. Adnan Sarhan, Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Salameh Mohammed Al Bluwi, Chair of Department of History and Islamic Civilization, and a number of faculty, police officers and students.

The exhibit included 11 displays featuring the following: The Sharjah Police Headquarters and forensic laboratory, crime scenes, fingerprinting, explosives, the Sharjah Police Anti-Narcotics Department, Sharjah Civil Defense Department, the Dubai Police General Command, the Dubai Police Anti-Narcotics Department, the Dubai Courts, the Dubai Public Prosecution, the Dubai Public Department of Airport Security, the Ajman Police Department, and the Institute for Training and Judiciary Studies.
The exhibition, which lasted three days, included a number of posters, pamphlets, brochures, films, and a variety of law books and legal consultation booklets. The President of the Science Society in the College of Law, Fatima Mohammed Al Joukar, said that the Society is committed to organizing the exhibition annually, not only for Law students, but also for the public to learn more about the most modern techniques used in forensic laboratories and at crime scenes, in addition to the most modern means available to discover explosives and narcotics on the ground. She said that the exhibition further gives students an opportunity to apply their university classroom studies. She continued by thanking the participating government authorities for their continuous support for the exhibition each year.
