Deanship of Student Affairs- Women
UOS Young Women Group
YWG is the first group of its kind at the level of UAE universities. It is a group of promising young women who are active in voluntary work and community service. In collaboration with UAE Girl Guide Association presided by H.H Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, YWG aims to contribute to community development through carrying out public awareness activities.  The group’s future agendas will include participation in events at the University, national and international levels. Group members will guide new students and be assigned certain duties during commencements, the National Day and receiving delegations and guests.

External activities will include camping inside and outside the University. There will also be voluntary community service works fulfilled through coordination with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

YWG is a group of UOS volunteer female students who believe in the importance of public service, are devoted to the country and aim at enhancing women student leadership role in serving the University, establishing and maintaining communication links with the local community and representing Emirati women internationally.

YWG is a group of students performing guiding activities voluntarily. Sincerity, honesty, fidelity, obedience, belief in the Almighty, patriotism and loyalty to the country’s Leadership are inherent characteristics of this group’s members who are devoted to voluntary work and public service.

This group also aims at stressing women’s leadership role in the community, empowering them to serve their country and encouraging them to be self-confident and assume responsibility. WYG has the potential of qualifying its members to be true representatives of UAE women.
