Mr. Mourad Haj Hmida has worked in the field of Finance and administration for over 15 years covering industries such as Banking, Consulting, Technology and Education. He has a rich international background, having worked in IBM, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) and CapGemini Ernst & Young in Canada before moving to the UAE and KSA where he worked in prestigious institutions of Higher Education. His professional interests are in the field of Corporate Finance, Procurement, HR, IT, Marketing, Facilities Management, and Performance and Risk management. 

Prior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University of Sharjah in in June 2014, Mr. Mourad Haj Hmida served as Head of Planning, Performance and Risk management at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.

In addition, Mr. Mourad Haj Hmida has served as Director Corporate Services (Finance and Administration) at the Emirates College for Advanced Education and Finance Director at the University of Abu Dhabi.

Prior to occupying different positions in the UAE and KSA, Mr. Mourad Haj Hmida served in many positions at different reputable institutions in Canada that can be referred to as follows:
