Research-based Course Design - Putting it All Together
The session will help participants design courses that incorporate the research and processes developed in the first four days into designing courses for their subjects. The purpose of this session is to help participants apply research on learning outcomes, research-based assessment methods, research-based instructional strategies, research on metacognition, and research on transfer of learning to design courses that they teach. The focus is on the synthesis of the preceding sessions. Participants from the first four sessions are encouraged to bring questions and concerns that may be addressed in this session.
