With the Aim of Exploring Future Cooperation:The University of Sharjah Receives a Delegation from the University of Calicut

His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, received a delegation from the University of Calicut in Kerala, India. Mr. Majid Al-Jarwan, Vice Chancellor for Public Relations, attended the meeting that aims to explore possible future cooperation between both universities in various areas.

The Chancellor of the University of Sharjah welcomed Dr. K. Mohammed Basheer, Vice Chancellor of the University of Calicut, and his accompanying delegation. He assured them of the University's keenness on cooperating with various distinguished universities and academic institutions. He also stressed that the University of Calicut is one of the distinguished universities that includes various programs and a large number of students.

The Chancellor also gave a brief about the University of Sharjah since its establishment by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah. He added that His Highness played a significant role in its development and advancement on the international level. The Chancellor also highlighted the academic programs the University offers at the undergraduate and graduate levels, their recent developments, and offering accredited programs that meet the current global demands. He then addressed the University's Medical Campus, which includes the Colleges of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Health Sciences, and Pharmacy as well as the Clinical Training Center (CTC), Dental Hospital, and University Hospital. 

During their visit, the delegation had a meeting with Prof. Qutayba Hamid Al Heialy, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of College of Medicine, and Dr.Tarek Merabtene, Director of the Office of International Relations, to explore cooperation in the medical field between both universities. They also visited the University's Central Laboratories and Libraries along with other facilities.
