His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, received a student delegation from the various programs and colleges at the University of Sharjah prior to their leaving the UAE on a visit to Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom. The visit comes as part of the Student Exchange Program between both universities, which is one of the areas of cooperation covered by the agreement signed by the aforementioned universities.
During the delegation's visit, the Chancellor welcomed the students and stressed the efforts and interest of the University of Sharjah in the Student Exchange Program as it plays a significant role in familiarizing students with the programs offered at the most renowned international universities. He also urged the delegation to reflect a positive image of the University of Sharjah and to showcase the identity, culture and social values of the United Arab Emirates during their exchange period in the UK. He added that the University is currently working on increasing the student exchange programs and opportunities in the upcoming years as well as increasing the number of exchange students.
The delegation consists of 12 exchange students from the various programs and colleges at the University of Sharjah led by Dr. Hesham Abdel Halim, Head of student Activities Section at the Deanship of Male Students' Affairs. Their visit to Liverpool John Moores University aims to familiarize them with the University's facilities, programs and majors offered, and its student activities throughout the academic year as well as including cultural tours of Liverpool and Manchester's landmarks.
