UoS and Federal University Dutsin-Ma Discuss Cooperation

Prof. Elsiddig Ahmed ElMustafa El Sheikh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, received a delegation from the Federal University Dutsin-Ma – Federal Republic of Nigeria, to discuss means of cooperation and review the experience of the University of Sharjah (UoS) in the field of scientific research. Prof. Papangida Omar headed the delegation, accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Toker, Technical Assistant of the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma. Also attended the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Maalej, Professor at the College of Engineering and Director of the Office of International Relations – UoS.

Prof. Elsiddig welcomed the delegation and gave an overview of UoS and the cultural diversity it is famous for. He also outlined the colleges, institutes, and centers of research and excellence at the University, and UoS' community services in the field of research, consultation and training. Prof. Elsiddig expressed UoS' willingness for academic and research cooperation with the Federal University Dutsin-Ma in providing consultations in preparing curriculums, training professors and student exchange.

Prof. Papangida Omar spoke about the Federal University Dutsin-Ma in detail. He said the visit aims to review the achievements of UoS and benefit from UoS' experience since it was conceived. He also said, the UoS although newly established but it was able to achieve many great accomplishments. Prof. Papangida Omar overviewed the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, the programs it offers and future plans to establish colleges of engineering, medicine and law. He said the Federal University Dutsin-Ma is hoping to benefit from UoS' experience in such disciplines by signing a cooperation agreement with the University.
