The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) of the Office of Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies – the University of Sharjah (UoS) has organized the "International Student Exchange" Program Research Forum entitled "Building Bridges and Partnerships". Attended the forum, Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Abdallah Shanableh, RISE Director, and members of research institutes and groups supervising the students' research.
In his opening speech, Prof. Maamar Bettayeb expressed his pleasure to organize the forum at the University of Sharjah (UoS), welcoming the visiting students, and stressing the importance of cooperation in the scientific field. He added that, the UoS strives to increase similar activities in the future to promote cooperation with the scientific institutes to which the students are delegated. Prof. Abdallah Shanableh gave a brief introduction about RISE, its research centers, and the objectives of the student exchange program in the scientific field at RISE.
The Forums featured a number of scientific research by students from 9 European students involved in the annual student exchange program for training and research, organized by the UoS, in collaboration with IAESTE. The students presented a number of scientific research in various fields such as: robotics, network engineering, smart electronic circles and systems, sustainable urban infrastructure systems, radioactivity, sustainable engineering asset management, biochemistry, the development of modern technological systems to assess concrete bridges, and sustainable energy development.
The Forum is part of a large group of year-round scientific lectures and activities organized by RISE at the University of Sharjah (UoS), to promote and provide support to innovation through a training and research process oriented towards researchers from the teaching body and sciences and engineering students.
