The University of Sharjah has become, as described by His Highness, a complete and comprehensive university, offering multi-disciplinary programs that meet the needs of the labor market. H.H. Sultan Al Qasimi stressed that UoS does not launch any programs until having completed an all-round survey of the job market's needs, not only within the State, but also across the Gulf States and some Arab States. Only then does the program get accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research before its launch, added H.H.

Dr. Hamid Al Naimiy assured that, "the University acts within a strategic plan for the past three years, promoting scientific research by focusing on postgraduate programs and students' projects on scientific research, to ensure that a PhD student would only graduate until he/she has published two solid scientific research papers in world-renowned scientific magazines".

Dr. Al Naimiy noted that His Highness Ruler of Sharjah has given directions to build an integrated complex comprising of two large buildings for postgraduate students and scientific research, fully equipped to serve the scientific research. The complex, which will be completed in June 2018, was designed in collaboration with fellow professors of scientific research in the University of Sharjah to meet the needs of the scientific research and students, added Al Naimiy.

"The University of Sharjah has become the best in the State in terms of community service, training and teaching, starting from professional diploma programs and ending with PhD programs, in addition to distributing lectures within several cities and regions of the Emirate", added the Chancellor. "UoS's was recently voted as one of the top 100 campuses around the world, thanks to the holistic environment it contains and service it provides to the educational process, therefore, operating within a scientific research strategy that supports scientific investigation that is directed to solve community problems", noted Al Naimiy.

Lastly, the Chancellor heard the opinions and suggestions of postgraduate students, and discussed various matters that concern and promote scientific inquiry at UoS. The Chancellor asked the postgraduate students to work towards solving problems at the departments and institutions they work at, through modern scientific investigation, promising them with limitless support of the University. He also asserted the students to attend international conferences, as they prove significant in polishing the student's personality.
