His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), attended on Saturday evening the graduation ceremony of the colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences. The ceremony, which was held in the University Hall, witnessed the graduation of 525 students.
In the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness commended the important role the graduates of the colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Sharjah are going to play in the UAE society's future.
During the graduation ceremony, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah said that the College of Medicine and the College of Health Sciences have developed plans to be amongst the world's greatest monuments regionally and globally. He affirmed that these unceasing developments continuously help to attract scientists, researchers and specialists from all over the world.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also congratulated the graduates, parents and the teaching staff who spared no effort in qualifying the graduates to meet the requirements of life.
Following the playing of the UAE National Anthem and the recital of verses from the Holy Quran, Professor Hamid M. Al-Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah (UoS), lauded His Highness's efforts in honouring the graduates of the university. He further pointed out that the UoS has provided the ideal educational environment for students of these colleges.
The graduation ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Rulers office; Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al Owais, UAE Minister of Health and Prevention; Brigadier General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority; Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Head of Protocol and Hospitality Department, as well as the members of the Board of Trustees and faculty and staff members of the University.
At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony, His Highness presented the certificates to the 525 graduates, congratulating them and wishing them a bright future.
