TITLE: QUALITATIVE RESEARCH IN MEDICAL EDUCATION
This introductory course provides 'hands on' deep understanding of the what, why and the how qualitative methods are used in medical education research.
Over three hours, you will be supported to develop your own specific researchable questions, address main elements of design in relation to main qualitative methods around this question and develop an appreciation of how the components of rigorous design, analysis, and knowledge translation creates effective qualitative research.
- Provide an overview of nature / rationale of main qualitative methods utilized in medical education.
- Assist you to develop and hone an appropriate education-related research question(s) and select appropriate qualitative methods
- Address main design decisions in sampling and data collection
