The Sustainability Circle is a concept which has been adapted as an environmental management system for the University's projects in sustainable development. It builds on the same principle as the well-known notion of the Quality Circle. A Sustainability Circle indicates that a group of volunteering members (representing students, employees, and faculty members, led by a coordinator) identify problems and solutions to sustainability related topics of interest such as energy, water, transportation, waste management etc. The suggested solutions are presented to the higher administration, then the approved solutions are applied throughout the University Campus. Students Sustainability Clubs
The Sustainability Office got the approval to establish student-run sustainability clubs: one female club and another club for male students. Through these clubs and the Sustainability Cycles, students of UoS can participate in promoting the sustainable development of the University. They will be established very soon.
