The University's four core values, which define its character and culture, will be supported by Procurement in the following ways:

We will maximize our contribution to, "the socio-cultural, scientific and economic progress of society through social responsiveness and effective engagement" and we will "forge strategic partnerships" with University stakeholders, the local community and external agencies. Encompassing best practice, Procurement will ensure that both economic and non-economic benefits are taken into consideration in the award of University contracts to achieve sustainability and best value for money.

We will behave in our business dealings in accordance with the professional standards and ethics of the University and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and we will treat all those we deal with in an honest, transparent and fair manner.
