Overview
The University of Sharjah established the Central Laboratories facility as a core location to conduct the practical part of the undergraduate   academic curriculum in the colleges of: Sciences, Engineering, Health Sciences and Pharmacy in addition to graduate students and faculty research laboratories. The Central Laboratories provide outstanding infrastructure and modern scientific equipment for teaching and research in all fields of science, engineering, and medical and health sciences. Central Laboratories also provide tests and services to the local community. 

The Central Laboratories include designated research laboratories with advanced equipment and capabilities serving graduate students and faculty research. Among the research labs at our university, we are proud to have the National X-Ray Florescence Lab, the Environmental and Water Quality lab, and the Molecular Biology and Pharmaceutics lab.

The Central Laboratories consist of two large buildings on the main campus where​ more than 70 lab rooms host more than 340 courses. Central Labs Directorate also manages labs in the Medical and Health Sciences campus and labs in the university branch in Khorfakkan. Central Laboratories Directorate provides services to different Colleges  in the areas of: equipment purchasing, space management, inventory control, safety and healthy work environment, maintenance of all labs equipment and infrastructure.
