Series of seminars to discuss Critical research Domains

Under directives of Prof. Eng. Samy A. Mahmoud, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah (UOS), a series of scientific seminars are being held at the University of Sharjah to discuss six research domains aligned with UOS new strategic directions aimed at developing scientific research within the framework of the College of Graduate Studies and Research.

The research domains include: Sustainable Energy and the Environment, Sustainable Infrastructure, International Law, Business and Treaties, Molecular Medicine and Transitional Medicine, Historical and Contemporary Issues in Arabic and Islamic history and Civilization, and Social and Educational Studies.
Prof. Eng. Samy highlighted the importance of these domains saying that the University of Sharjah is a leading and key educational and cultural center for the whole region and that “Our era represents an era of excellence."

“Other international universities have become known for distinction in research, and the University of Sharjah is distinguishing itself in various fields of research through supporting these critical and timely research domains to serve the community”, the Chancellor stated.
“Now, we are focusing on critical research areas according to specific standards including excellence, specialization, and comprehensive research projects. We look forward to serving the local community in particular and the regional community in general. He concluded by saying, "It is very important to also provide appropriate infrastructure, laboratories, machines and experienced professionals for the research environment."
