Conditions for accepting research papers :

  1. The paper should relate to one of the conference themes.
  2. The paper should rigorously follow accepted documentation procedures
  3. Researchers must adopt   analytic and contrastive approaches with focus on how the provisions of Islamic Sharia deal with established criminal rules.
  4. The research should be typed on A4 paper using the Traditional Arabic type of writing, letter size 14, bottom margins 12, single space. A research paper should not be more than 30 pages and not less than 20.
  5. Footnotes should be used in documenting in-text references as follows:
  • Books: name of author, book title, publisher, place of publication, year of publication and page number.
  • Published papers in journals: name of author, title of article, title of journal, issue number, place of publication, year of publication, page number.
  • Encyclopedias: name of author, title of article, name of encyclopedia, publisher, place of publication, year of publication, page number.
  • Official documents: title of document, source, number and date.
  1. Deadline for receiving abstracts is January 10/2008 and for receiving complete papers March 15/2008.
  2. Research papers shall be preliminary evaluated before they can be accepted for presentation in the conference. Accepting a paper for presentation does not entail acceptance for publication.
  3. An autobiography of no more than eight lines in both Arabic and English should be provided in addition to a copy of the passport and  personal photograph.

Notes:

  1. Papers presented in the conference and accepted for publication will be published in the conference proceedings.
  2. Papers received whether accepted for presentation or not shall not be returned to authors.
  3. The University shall cover the expenses of traveling (tickets), residence and accommodation for the researchers whose papers will be accepted for presentation in the conference.
