Conference Goals :
The Colleges of Law and Sharjah at the University of Sharjah in conjunction with The Center for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice at the University of Durham in the United Kingdom shoulder the responsibility of raising people’s awareness of the Islamic Criminal Justice. To do so, these institutions shall prepare the Encyclopedia of The Principles of the Islamic Criminal Legislation because Islam is one the three dominant religions in the world, and which has been described as a religion that fits all times and places. This encyclopedia will be an excellent reference on the provisions of criminal legislation in Islam. In light of the above, the conference aims at:
- Selecting the research papers that meet the conditions for inclusion in the encyclopedia
- Highlighting the Islamic Criminal Law and its methodology of dealing with people
- Investigating the constituents and characteristics of contemporary Islamic discourse
- Proposing a mechanism for dealing the new emerging crimes
