ICDL is an accredited internationally-recognized certificate that testifies that the holder is a trained computer user possesses some IT skills. ICDL is internationally renowned as it covers the basic principles of computer usage and its practical applications in the workplace and the community at large. It is worth noting here that the training programme is open to all regardless of age, gender, previous experience or level of education.

ICDL is comprised of seven modules each followed by an examination. After successful completion of all seven modules, participants are eligible to obtain the international computer driving licence.

The ICDL training programmes aims to increase the participants’ computer and IT skills. Therefore, CCE makes full-use of all the modern IT facilities available at the University of Sharjah, which have been previously inspected and approved by the ICDL Regional Office.
