Department info:

Introduction

Soon after the official commencement of study at the University of Sharjah in the academic year 1997-1998, it became evident that the University was in urgent need of a clinic to examine, diagnose and treat medical cases amongst students, particularly emergency and simple cases. For this purpose, two clinics were set up; one for male students in M3 Building and the other in W3 on the female campus.

A year later, and in view of the increase in student numbers in general and the fact that the two university clinics receive faculty members and administrative staff as well as their families, the number of staff working in the clinics had to be increased and the offices had to be moved to a more suitable location more in harmony with the image and status of the university. Thus, the clinics were moved to M2 (038) and W ( 037) in the middle of the academic year 1999-2000.
