University of Sharjah includes laboratories that serve the educational and research missions of all the colleges in the University particularly the College of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Dentistry, the College of Health Sciences in addition to the College of Sciences and the College of Engineering. The central labs are located at buildings M12 and W12 and are fully equipped with advanced technologies, plus laboratories of the Medical and Health Sciences Colleges Complex are located in three buildings; M23, M27 and M28.
The Central Laboratories are the umbrella for the administration of the scientific and technical laboratories for the Colleges of Engineering, Sciences, Health Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. The Central Laboratories focus on providing a safe environment at its facilities, where students and faculty train, apply knowledge and conduct research in an efficient and productive atmosphere.

Latest Main achievements
- Establish a committee to - oversee the functioning of the Central Laboratory according to the Chancellors decision No. 48/08-09, chaired by the Dean of the academic support services, to study the continuing needs for new laboratories and make recommendations to meet those needs, provide advice to the development of policies and procedures of the laboratory and study the statistics related to laboratory work to ensure that the interests of the university and the optimal use of the laboratories.
- Established the (National X-ray Fluorescence lab) specialized in energy research program as a joint project between the government of the UAE and the University of Sharjah.
- Training workshops have been held in the CL in cooperation with the United Nations Heritage Protection Program (ICCROM), CL was chosen as the official labs for the tests concerning the heritage.
