Department of Graduate Studies

Welcome to the University of Sharjah's Department of Graduate Studies. As part of the Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research, the department oversees the academic operations of 15 graduate programs.

More than 400 students from UAE and neighboring countries join the University of Sharjah to study and research at the graduate level in many fields, including business, engineering, law, linguistics, history and Islamic studies.

We are proud of our faculty members. Many of whom are well known internationally for their excellence in research, creativity, and graduate education.

The University believes that its reputation comes not only from its physical and human resources, but from the quality of its graduates, a group that we welcome you to join. Our graduate students are therefore,  expected to play a vital role in enriching this environment.

The University of Sharjah offers study grants for first-year postgraduate students. The study grants include exempting students from tuitions and allocating monthly grants 2500 Dh paid to students during their study. Such grants are presented on a competitive basis. Applications for study grants should be submitted simultaneously with admission forms.
