Mission  

The mission of the department is to become a center of excellence in business and management studies and contribute to the enhancement of the competitiveness of the UAE organizations in the global marketplace through the development of highly skilled, ethical and well-round graduates in areas of strategic relevance to the UAE economy and Society. 

 Program Goals for the Management & Marketing Concentrations:

1. Developing conceptual knowledge and understanding of Management and its applications to real world settings.
2. Providing students with the necessary skills and techniques related to Management needed to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
3. Exposing students to global, economic, cultural, and ethical issues in business.
4. Developing knowledge of the management practices in the UAE/Gulf area as compared with other management practices.
5. Ensuring that our students have the necessary lifelong self-learning in the field of Management.

Program Goals for the Public Administration  Concentrations:

1. Developing conceptual knowledge and understanding of public management and their applications to public organizations.
2. Providing students with skills and expertise related to public management which are need to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
3. Exposing students to global, socio-economic, legal and political environment as well as ethical and moral issues in public management.
4. Developing good knowledge of the practice of public management system in the UAE as compared with others.
5. Ensuring that our students have the necessary life-long self learning skills in the field of public management.

Objectives 

The objectives of the Department of Management and Marketing are: 

1. To provide academic programs leading to the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Management or Marketing and the Bachelor degree in Public Administration.
2. To conduct research in the areas of management and marketing for the advancement of the two fields and their professional practices.
3. To serve the UAE community through the offerings of professional training programs to practitioners and others.
4. To provide consultancy services to private and public organizations, when needed.
