Overview

The Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) Department laboratories are new and growing with the program. Thus these laboratories are equipped with the latest lab equipment, technologies and tools. The IEM laboratories are intended to serve several undergraduate laboratory courses. These courses are aimed to assist the Industrial Engineering (IE) theoretical educational curriculum and provide practical hands on experience to our future engineers. The IE Laboratories are planned with research and training support capabilities in mind. The IEM Department has the following laboratories:
- Manufacturing Technologies
- Ergonomics and Work and Process Improvement
- Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems (Industrial Automation)
- Simulation
- Database Management and Industrial Information Systems
- Operations Research
- Design for the Environment and Safety
POLICY AND TECHINCAL STAFF
The laboratories of IEM Department strive to meet the needs of undergraduates teaching, students’ projects as well as the needs for research, serving community and society, academic institutions and training programs for governmental and private agencies.
The IE Laboratories are highly prepared with safety tools and protection regulations and supervised by highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The academic staff is assisted by qualified lab engineers and lab technicians. To stay advanced with current rapid developments, staff members are continuously involved in training and developing programs. |
