Policy and Technical Staff
The policy of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department is to engage the contribution of its laboratories to the needs of private and government agencies as well as academic institutions (teaching and research). For meeting nowadays challenges and optimizing quality assurance, laboratories are operated and supervised by highly qualified, capable and experienced technical and academic staff. Furthermore, the staff is dynamically involved in developing new processes and research activities to keep pace with rapid development and evolution in civil engineering. These activities also extend to giving technical recommendations and consulting services in all types of civil engineering problems.
All tests are run by highly skilled engineers and technicians who are constantly supervised by experienced faculties in order to assure the compliance of these tests with international standards. Accurateness of computer generated tests results are often verified and thus considered reliable by decision-makers. Quality assurance of testing services is maintained through periodic evaluation processes in term of checking the calibration of the equipment and upgrading them to meet market demands. Additionally the technical staff is continuously engaged in training programs to bring them up-to-date with current testing trends in civil engineering. |
